Mora Iced Creamery

I'm coming up on my last night here in the Northwest. Its been a great break and escape from hectic city living. I even got to miss the hurricane!

{I did make Slurricanes though!}

Being that it is still summer, I wanted to post about a delicious creamery here on Bainbridge. Mora is located downtown, a short walk from the iconic Seattle-Bainbridge ferry. All of the old-fashioned ice cream is made in small batches using simple clean ingredients.

When you walk in, you immediately see all of the old fashioned ice cream bins full of unique flavors. You pick your size and pay at the cashier before choosing your flavor.

I've tried the blackberry, mexican chocolate, white chocolate, and dark chocolate mint. They were all so creamy. My favorite was the mexican chocolate because had a lot of cinnamon.

My suggestion would be to take the ferry to the island, walk downtown, have lunch at Fork & Spoon, and then head across the street to Mora for dessert. You will be able to get the local flavor and some really amazing food.
